An Image: ALL DIFFERENTS, ALL EQUAL

Jacques Sonck (b. 1949) is known for his poignant portraits of eccentric characters from all walks of life, seeking out that which deviates from the norm, without making fun of it. These are often black-and-white portraits of individuals encountered on the streets of Antwerp, Ghent or Brussels since the 1970s, who stand out for their eccentric behavior, appearance or dress.Fondation A Stichting is offering to (re) discover around 120 black-and-white portraits, in which the photographer reveals the unique aspects of each face. We are all different, yet equal. The common denominator is that we're all different, and the message is that we're proud of it.
